Bible Teaching For Kids: Kindergarten

The Big Idea: Jesus loved His friends.

The Bible Story:  Jesus Cooked for His Helpers (Disciples) (John 21:1-17)

Connecting Points this week:

  • Include your child in making breakfast. He could stir batter or help pour cereal. Talk about Jesus and His disciples eating breakfast together.
  • Encourage your child to name friends and talk about what he likes to do with them. Mention that Jesus is his friend, too.
  • Visit a pet store and look at fish in an aquarium (or observe your own aquarium, if you have one). Encourage your child to remember the Bible story. Stress that Jesus loved and helped His helpers/disciples.

The Big Idea: Jesus Is Lord!

The Bible Story: Thomas Wanted Proof: John 20:19-29

Connecting Points this week:

• Jesus tells Thomas that those who haven't seen Him and believe are blessed. Jesus wants all people to believe in Him.

• Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection were a part of God's plan for the forgiveness of sin.

• Review the ABCs of Becoming a Christian and ask the Holy Spirit to guide your child's heart.

• Pray with your child thanking God for sending Jesus to be the savior and praising God that Jesus is alive!

Bible Teaching For Kids: Kindergarten

The Big Idea: People told that Jesus was alive.

The Bible Story: Two People Met Jesus (Luke 24:13-35)

Connecting Points this week:

  • Talk with your child about the Bible story. Note that the men saw Jesus after Mary had seen Him at the tomb.
  • Emphasize that many people saw Jesus after Mary did. Jesus was really alive again. (He's still alive today.)
  • Help your child turn to today's Bible story in his Bible.

Bible Teaching For Kids: 1-5 Grade

The Big Idea:
Jesus is still alive.

The Bible Story: Jesus Met Two Disciples After His Resurrection, Luke 24:13-35

Connecting Points this week:

• On the evening of His resurrection Jesus appeared to two disciples on the road to Emmaus.

• This is one of many appearances of Jesus following His resurrection.

• After His resurrection Jesus showed Himself to many people to help people know that He is still alive today.

• Search the Scriptures with your children for other evidences of Jesus' resurrection.
